What is the use of Document Generation?
Managing real estate documents such as contracts and vendor agreements efficiently is essential for smooth operations, especially when handling multiple units. PropSpace Property Management Software offers Document Generation, allowing you to upload templates, map fields, and generate documents as needed. This feature helps reduce manual effort and ensures standardized documentation.
To upload and generate documents in PropSpace, follow these steps:
Uploading a Document Template
- Navigate to Admin → Document Templates.
- Click on "New Template" and select the screen where the document should be generated.
- To generate a PDF document, upload the desired file under the Forms section.
- Map the fields to ensure the document retrieves the correct data from PropSpace:
- Field Name: Enter the field’s name.
- Map Field To: Link the field to the relevant data in Property Management. If text needs to be entered manually, select the appropriate option.
- Text Alignment: Choose between left, center, or right.
- Font Size: Set it to 30, which is the standard size.
- Click "Save" to store the document template.
Generating a Document
- Go to the relevant screen for which the document was uploaded (e.g., Leases).
- Select the specific Lease entry.
- On the right side, click "Generate Document" to create and download the document based on the mapped template.
PropSpace’s Document Generation feature simplifies document handling by allowing property managers to create standardized, auto-filled documents quickly. This ensures consistency, saves time, and eliminates manual data entry errors.
